One of the hardest parts of college is being away from home- especially during Christmas season. This year however, we learned that if you decorate for the holidays and really celebrate everything with your roommates, you are so much happier!
A College Christmas

Plaid PJ Set, Peanuts PJ Set, Blue Robe, Peanuts Pillow, Slippers, Bluetooth Speakers, Stockings,- C/O
For Christmas this year, as you say in my DIY Gift Wrapping post yesterday, I got my roommates slippers, pajamas, stockings and bluetooth speakers for Christmas. I was so excited to give them pajamas we could all wear around during the holiday season.
For a Christmas a night in with my roommates, we decided to have a little gift exchange along side some hot chocolate and cookies (they were already nibbled on previous to shooting- oops). Something so little and easy to do, makes for the perfect relaxing, chilly night.
We curled up along side our tree, with our record player playing and soaked up the moments while we could.
For our College Christmas this year we decided to decorate our house to make it have the homey holiday feel we all miss so dearly. On a college budget, we chose wisely about what to get.
We found this tree from target for $20 and the ornaments from a little dollar store. We added the touch of stockings and festive pillows to help bring the Christmas spirit into the room and decided they really finished off the decor.
Everyone thinks decorating has to be super expensive, but especially with sales (like the stockings, slippers, etc.) going on right now- they are so budget friendly. Plus, if you already bought some decor for this year, grab some for next year.
As you curl up with your roommates for a College Christmas, grab your favorite mugs, bake some cookies, find something special for your roommates (whether it is big or small), play some Michael Buble Christmas music and really soak up all the time you have with your roommates before heading home for the holidays.
As your decorate your house for the seasons to come, remember to always add a touch of your personality to make it your own!
