Holiday dresses have arrived and I am a little too giddy. Now that Halloween has passed, I am officially in full holiday spirit. Between Thanksgiving, Christmas and New Years, I can’t wait. I think it is safe to say that anyone who knows me knows that Christmas Eve is my favorite day. From the smell of Christmas trees to the constant holiday tunes playing in the background, there is no way to not be happy.
Holiday Dresses Are Here
Santa Monica, CA, November 1st, 2017
Charles Henry Dress (c/o), Mango Leather Jacket (similar, cheaper version), DSW Heels (taller heel version), J. Crew Earrings, Purse (Vintage From Paris)
When I got this dress in the mail I knew it would make the perfect start to sharing holiday dresses. I think one of the hardest parts of holiday dresses that people face is trying to figure out how to wear them again. Often, you wear holiday dresses, feel fantastic, then stick it back in the closet forever. That’s what I want to help save. Holiday dresses can be worn over and over again. One of my favorite things to do is wear a “fancier” dress on a casual outing. Whether it is running errands or grabbing a quick bite to eat with friends, having an elevated piece of clothing on truly makes any event, task, errand, etc. more special.
Plus, any excuse to buy more holiday dresses, sign me up. So, as you pick your dresses out for the season, imagine pairing them with a casual cardigan or leather jacket. You’d be surprised by how much a denim jacket can help make a fancy dress casual.
